Environmental Improvements – Dog Fouling
Following a number of complaints about dog fouling in your area over the last few weeks, I have been working with various Council departments to see what can be done to improve the area in which we live. Your street has been selected to benefit from two days of action.
Towards the end of this week (weather dependant), you should begin to see an increase in activity which will be focused on:
• Highlighting the dog fouling
• Dog fouling removal
• Footpath cleansing
• Installation of a new bin – corner of Oakwood/Beechwood Road
There will also be a number of initiatives to promote responsible dog ownership:
• Footpath stencils – Clean it up
• Street signs
• Dog Fouling enforcement
It is hoped that these activities will bring about a much-needed improvement to the landscape of our community, one which will be sustained in the months ahead.
I know that these activities will be welcomed by residents living in and around the area that has been chosen. If you have any questions or queries please do not hesitate to contact your local Labour Councillor.
