Labour Councillor’s Norman Hogg, Tina Harris and Iain Hamilton were honoured to attend the National Association of Local Council’s Star Council Awards.
The judges who included representatives from Central Government and the University of London, ‘were really impressed about how Halewood engaged with the community and (went) beyond the traditional boundaries of local councils’ and were ‘blown away’ with our work engaging with schools in tackling social deprivation.
At the awards, Cllr Tina Harris, Chairperson of the Town Council and Mayor of Halewood, paid tribute to the hard work and dedication of all Town Council staff, volunteers and Elected Members who do so much to live out the Town Council’s moto to ‘seek the best’ for our community.
