Halewood South Ward

I have been an active member of the Halewood community and involved for 25 years in the Halewood Town Sports Association. My work in organising and fundraising, supports the Bob Paisley Friendship Cup, sending hundreds of children to Ballinasloe in Ireland.
Along with being a serving Borough Councillor and former Knowsley Mayor, I have served as a Town Councillor and Mayor of Halewood. I continue to work with and proudly support Halewood Culturefest and was fundamental in the establishment of the Uniform Exchange which helps Halewood families.

I have volunteered within the Halewood Community for many years, taking part in Christmas events, helping to run events tackling holiday hunger, environmental clean ups and continue to support residents on many issues.
I am an Armed Forces veteran and was a Unison Representative while working for the NHS specialising in Disability and Equalities. I previously assisted in setting up and running a successful community project alongside Merseyside Police to tackle Anti-social Behaviour and have previously volunteered with the CAB. I was also successful in lobbying Government to improve its financial support for Young People with ASD in further education.

Halewood North Ward

I am honoured to have been chosen once again, as your Labour Party Candidate for Halewood North Ward.
To say the last year has been difficult would be an understatement. The COVID-19
pandemic has left communities across the Country mourning the loss of loved ones and Knowsley is no exception. I would like to pay tribute to those who passed away during this crisis and to all those still living with the affects of this awful virus.
I am enormously proud of Knowsley Council’s response to the pandemic. We stepped in where national government failed – supporting those vulnerable in our community who had to shield, providing PPE to front-line social care staff when the Government failed to do so, provided Free School Meals when Government refused to, and so much more.

Joint Statement

At this set of Local Government Elections there are 2 seats being contested in Halewood South Ward and 1 seat in Halewood North and we are all honoured to have been chosen as the Labour Party candidates.

The past year has been a difficult one for everyone. COVID-19 has left communities across the country mourning the loss of loved ones and Knowsley is no exception. We would both like to pay tribute to those who have passed away during this crisis, and to all those still living with the effects of this awful virus.

We are all enormously proud of the way your Labour controlled Knowsley Council has responded to this crisis. Stepping in to support our communities when the Tory Government failed to. Whether that be providing PPE to frontline health and social care staff, or free school meals when the Tories refused to and so much more. We continue to assist residents with day-to-day issues and to work with our community and Labour Party colleagues to address any issues they raise.

Moving forward from the Covid-19 pandemic it is essential that Halewood has strong representation and, working with you, we will ensure that the whole community’s views are heard.

Together, with your continued support, we can ensure Knowsley continues on a path to recovery.
You have two votes in this Election in Halewood South and 1 in Halewood North, please use your vote wisely and VOTE LABOUR.
